Five Sri Lankan players were sold in IPL Auction 2022.
- Wanindu Hasaranga – RCB for LKR 287 MN
- Dushmantha Chameera – LSG for LKR 54 MN
- Maheesh Theekshana – CSK for LKR 19 MN
- Chamika Karunaratne – KKR for LKR 13 MN
- Bhanuka Rajapaksa – Punjab for LKR 13 MN
With three coaching staff members (Mahela Jayawardena for Mumbai, Kumar Sangakkara for Rajasthan and Muttiah Muralidaran for Hyderabad) there will be representation from Sri Lanka in 8 IPL teams this season.
