The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed a 4-member ministerial committee, chaired by Foreign Minister Ali Sabry, to investigate the future activities of Sri Lanka Cricket and the gazette notification issued for the appointment of the SLC Interim Committee members this morning.
Earlier today, it was reported that President Ranil Wickremesinghe was unaware of Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe’s decision to appoint an interim committee for Sri Lanka Cricket.
During their meeting today, the cabinet ministers reportedly discussed the matter extensively and decided to form a committee to examine the future activities of Sri Lanka Cricket.
The 4-member ministerial committee tasked with this includes:
1. Minister Ali Sabry – Chairman
2. Minister Kanchana Wijesekara
3. Minister Manusha Nanayakkara
4. Minister Tiran Alles
