The body of a youth has been recovered in Mattakuliya, the Police Media Division confirmed.
According to the Police, the body was found in a waterway near a temple in the area.
The Police further said that the cause of the death is yet to be ascertained.
The Police Media Division added that media reports claiming that the youth was kidnapped and murdered are unverified.
