Air quality in Colombo turns unhealthy

Air quality in several urban areas across Sri Lanka remained at unhealthy levels over the past 24 hours, according to data by the National Building Research Organisation (NBRO).

Areas such as Kotte, Galle Fort and Galle, recorded Sri Lanka Air Quality Index (SL AQI) levels between 119 and 77, primarily due to elevated PM2.5 levels.
